Toronto– December 4, 2018 – Visa Canada is proud to announce that the organization has been named on the 2018 list of Best Workplaces™ Managed by Women. Visa Canada received this honour after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®.
“Visa Canada is an organization made up of many strong female leaders, so it’s gratifying to be recognized on the 2018 List of Best Workplaces Managed by Women,” said Stacey Madge, Country Manager and President, Visa Canada. “We are proud that eight out of 11 executives, as well as 53 per cent of our employees, are women working together towards our mission to connect the world through the most innovative, reliable and secure digital payment network.”
The company has many accolades to be proud of over the past year, including being recognized as a Best Workplace in Technology. In 2018, Visa Canada announced “Tap to Pay” on Vancouver transit, extended its PayPal partnership into Canada and launched real-time payments capabilities. Internally, Visa launched employee-driven committees that drive cross-functional collaboration in areas ranging from employee engagement through diversity and inclusion to charitable giving and volunteer activities.
The list of Best Workplaces Managed by Women is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work.
To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work-certified in the past year and have a female President or CEO. Great Place to Work determined this based on an overall Trust Index score from the employees.
