We were among steep competition, including more than 25 start-ups, tech companies and financial institutions. This award – one of the largest and most prestigious within the Canadian fintech community – truly demonstrates our leadership in payment innovation and contribution to the payments landscape in Canada.

We’re an organization made up of many strong women leaders, and this award is one we’re proud to receive again in 2019. Eight of 11 executives and 69 per cent of Visa Canada’s leadership team are women, working towards our mission to connect the world through the most innovative, reliable and secure digital payment network.

Eleanore Ho, Senior Director of Merchant Solutions at Visa Canada, was recognized for her many accomplishments in the fintech space, including most recently leading the efforts at Visa to expand acceptance and drive growth in emerging segments. Eleanore has strong relations within Canada’s fintech community, helping start-ups and more established technology enablers identify new opportunities and grow their business.

We’re proud to be amongst companies like Google, Apple and Facebook as one of Canada’s most trusted brands.
- Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness
Visa Canada has a number of initiatives in place that encourage employee mental health and wellness, including one-on-one sessions with a nutritionist and wellness consultant, weekly yoga and Pilates classes, access to a relaxation room, weekly delivery of healthy snacks and fruit, as well as a generous annual wellness benefit that can go towards a gym membership, fitness equipment, gadgets or services.
