- Create a personal password. When you register your Visa card, your card issuer will ask you to create a personal password for you to use with your Visa card when you shop online at VbV enabled merchants.
- Use your personal password. Once you've registered your card for VbV, your identity is confirmed by your card issuer just by entering your personal password before completing your purchase. Merchants never see your personal password and are not involved in the authentication process.
